I was thrilled to be finished with my first trimester. I suffered a lot of nausea, was on a bunch of medications and generally felt like crap. I was down 10 lbs but my doctor wasn't concerned and assured me I would start eating (and gaining) soon.
It was so nice to see the babelet on the ultrasound kicking away like crazy and running around in there.
After the 12w scan, we told work, gave our parents permission to tell anyone they wanted, and told our families back east. Everyone was thrilled for us.
We bought a home doppler off the internet and started looking for the baby around 10 weeks. We finally found the hb right around 12 weeks. It's nice to be able to listen for about 15 seconds every night to hear the babelet playing around in there.
